John Thompson began his journalism career on a local newspaper and spent more years than he cares to admit freelancing mostly as a layout/sub-editor on business and professional publications.
He launched www.journalism.co.uk in early 1999 and his online publishing and news photography business Mousetrap Media Ltd was fully incorporated in May 2000.

Madalina joined journalism.co.uk in May 2015 after graduating from a BA in Journalism and Public Relations at UWE Bristol.
Previously, she was published in The Independent, did work experience at Esquire and Harper's Bazaar and covered the Digital Innovators' Summit and the International Journalism Festival.
When she's not in the office, Madalina spends her time reading, re-watching Gilmore Girls and eating more pancakes than people give her credit for.

Catalina joined Journalism.co.uk in the summer of 2014 after completing the BA Journalism course at City University London.
Previously she was a freelance multimedia reporter covering all things tech in Shoreditch, a gig that made her the proud owner of 3D printed bracelets.
She was a trainee for Olympic Broadcasting Services during London 2012, where she learned to appreciate the value of a good flat white.
She moved to the UK from Romania in 2009, and sometimes misses her dad's home-made jam.
